Zirus Has Reached Our Expectations

From all the hard work from our team, the result of Zirus Episode One has been a great success. People have been asking "what will happen next" and "when will the next one be out". This is exactly what we wanted from our production, we wanted to get people talking, wondering and waiting.

Work In College

Through the week me and my fellow students have been designing and producing an E4 Ident for the E4 E-Sting competition. Within this we had to apply stop-motion animation in order to obtain our grades. This experience has been most enjoyable and would love to implement it in some of our work further down the line (maybe).

We wrote the scripts, done the pitch and now made a reasearch dossier, was a lot of work but worth it!

Your Ideas?

Despite creating our own work, we love to see other people's work. At the moment in East Image's education life, we are learning how to script write and is becoming very enjoyable for some members. Our team would love for you guys to get involved in our creative experience.

Last week we released Zirus. Through that we had a fan send us a remake of it, in script format. It was very well done and told an intense story. (please use courier new next time).

Please feel free to send us your work, that could be either scripts, videos, skits, short films etc. Anything that you deem as being creative. It can be moving, still, whatever we want to see it.

Oh hey there, you may not know me. The reason is that I have not said my name yet so let me (please)

My name is Ben Alexander Kippen. I am the co-founder of EIP or East Image Productions. For a few weeks now young Ollie has been posting on this blog like he owns the joint... times are changing!

Seriously note; I have been admin-ed so I can post stuff on here too! So that's a new thing to look forward to I guess (maybe not)

Today me and Ollie watched The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 6 "Live Bait" So being the techno-freaks that we are, we totally made a video of us reviewing it to be posted on our new channel East Image Reviews (trendy huh)

To summarize the review in about one sentence;

"The Governor gets kinda nice but deep down is a Rick Grimes wanna be" (evidence below)

First Review Done!

Well today was very eventful. The new episode of The Walking Dead has in fact took me by surprise!

How We Practice Camera Work

Zirus Is Out!

It is out, finally!

8 Hours, one day to complete filming. It was a complete success and everyone's efforts were perfect, from acting to the filming, to the editing the final cut. This episode of Zirus is more about the set up of characters and how they fit into the story. With a limited budget, we are very proud of the result of the episode. Keep an eye out for the next episode, where tension is at an all time high.

What We Have Accomplished

Starting up East Image has been a big step for the team as we now have something that we can work on, and through our own ideas. Before the company that is what we did already. Previous projects has helped us develop our skills in team work, idea sharing, camera work and many other skills. Most importantly it has helped us meet new people and make new bonds and friendships, whilst strengthening the one we already have.

What Do You Think ?

Along side the release of our new short film series Zirus, we have a new idea of a short series. I'm sure you guys have heard of AMC's The Walking Dead, if not check it out now! Well the team of East Image have decided to do a video review of each episode of seeason 4, starting from Monday 18th. It will involve our opinions on each episode and how it will develop the story of programme. An in depth of characters will also be discussed to see where they will end up at the end of the season. We will also allow you guys to comment on our thoughts and suggest some of your own.

We will also be doing some reviews on some feature films where we will again explaining the good and bad points of the film, how could it be improved, etc.

Welcome!

Throughout are journey from start to end you will be following the lives of East Image Productions. We will be posting frequent post of new, current and old projects which will give you an insight into why and how we make them.

Quick intro to how we started....

The team of East Image study a lot into media and we all have very different skills in certain aspects of the industry. 

One day me and my buddy Ben purchased in our very own DSLRs (Canon 650D) as we wanted to create our own quality film projects. We decide from there to create a freelance production company, taking pictures for events and showing off our own little skits / films. This would help us in our skills whilst creating our own content.

We liked the idea and started to involve more people. The idea of the name East Image came from me. Because we live in the East Coast Of England we thought that our name should represent where are talent and business started and that was the East Coast. Thus the company East Image Productions was born.
